Review of Key West, Florida

Real cost of living averages for Key West, FL.
Star Rating - 3/29/2021
I was raised in Key West since 1980, these average cost prices for rent that you are seeing were not even accurate then, let alone now in 2021. The average cost of renting a room in a shared apartment or house is $1,200 per month, A small studio is $1,600 per month,1 BR small apartment is $1,800 per month,2 BR apartment or house is $2,500 per month,3 BR apartment or house is closer to $3,500 per month. Most all rentals require 1st, last, and security equal to the months rent to move in, often times requiring $6,000 to $9,000 to move in.Utilities also run higher than shown here on average. You can basically compare cost of living in Key West to cost of living in Manhattan, NY or even Hawaii.Hope this helps all who reads this.I am currently living in Key West, FL and am positive of my statements made here.
